Dr Sarah Barber
Based in Manchester, UK, Sarah focuses on capability development, team effectiveness and decision-making facilitation for complex issues.
Before joining red10 in 2017, Sarah spent more than 25 years working for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals across manufacturing operations and drug development. Roles included the leadership of global drug development teams and heading departments within clinical development.
An important element of her career has been capability development. Specifically, she led a “Good to Great” programme that pulled together a group representing the network of people involved in the Drug Project Manager role, forming them as change agents to diagnose and deliver interventions that raised role performance for the whole community. (c50 project managers in the UK, Sweden and the USA).
Increasingly she became interested in how the teams she led or was part of made decisions. With the benefit of training in Integrative Thinking © (from PDC, the authorised European centre teaching the Rotman School of Business Integrative Thinking programme) and Decision Quality (Strategic Decisions Group MOOC) she designs and facilitates bespoke workshops to help both teams and individuals make difficult decisions.
Sarah holds a degree in Natural Sciences and a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Cambridge. A passion for science has motivated her working life and now she also tutors young people to convey that enthusiasm and help to create the scientists of the future. Also, as a volunteer with a Duke of Edinburgh Award Centre for over 120 young people, Sarah is a mentor for expedition teams.Back to Our Team
