Gavin Simpson

Working throughout the UK and world-wide Gavin focuses on team effectiveness, executive coaching and leadership development. In addition, he brings experience of working across several sectors.

He is motivated and thrilled to see leaders develop and realise their goals, and to see teams increase their ownership and collaboration to deliver amazing results. He has worked extensively with pharmaceutical project teams, senior functional teams and their leaders. As well as pharmaceuticals he has worked with leaders and teams in financial services, property development and utilities.

Gavin has a Masters in Neuro Linguistic Programming, is an ILM qualified coach, World Association of Business Coaches (WABC) registered corporate coach and has accreditations in MBTI, Leadership Styles and Organisational Climate, and Saville Wave leadership psychometrics.

His own career path reflects his love of learning, belief in working with your strengths and following your curiosity. He is a great believer in the quote “one of the best things about work, is that you find who you are from doing it”.

Gavin left university knowing he didn’t want to be a Biochemist, even though he loved the subject, he didn’t like working on his own in a laboratory. Realising he liked to be around people, he made the seemingly bizarre choice to become an accountant. He figured this would put him in the centre of a company, as what really motivated him was an on-going fascination to understand how leadership and influence make companies work. He moved on to facilitating and developing change leadership, leadership development, talent management and learning at the head of function level.

He is married to Rachel and likes to spend his spare time walking their dogs, cooking and being in Kefalonia.
