Giving and Receiving Feedback - 1 day
Giving and receiving feedback is an opportunity to learn and to develop new skills, behaviours and motivation. However, feedback can misfire and be interpreted as criticism and so results in the exact opposite.
This one day workshop will support participants to develop the skills to give and receive constructive feedback. It will also challenge and support participants through the limiting beliefs they may be holding to enable them to seek and offer feedback more readily.
Delegates will get the opportunity to offer to and receive feedback from each other in a light but informative way at the end of the day.
Key Objectives
To:
- understand the value of giving and receiving constructive feedback at work as an aid to improved performance
- understand why feedback is not always seen ‘as a gift' and how to help people hear feedback more readily
- understand how personality affects people's expectations of feedback
- understand the difference between feedback and criticism
- practice the fundamental skills and basic rules involved in both giving and receiving feedback
- give and receive feedback to colleagues and other delegates
