In which specialist areas can you offer expertise?

My expertise lies in communication; I see how difficult it is for some people to communicate well and naturally with audiences. I explore the ways that we can develop the natural talents that we were born with; I believe that anyone can become a charismatic and powerful speaker, able to connect with any audience.

How have you acquired this expertise?

As an actress, I work in theatre, television, film and radio. I am best known for my work in television comedy; particularly as Sgt. Dawkins in BBC's ‘The Thin Blue Line'

I trained as a consultant in the Thinking Environment, and I have studied for an MA in Voice at Guildhall with Patsy Rodenberg. I now combine acting and coaching; helping individuals and groups to find their natural confidence and energy using voice, connection and storytelling. I have recently completed a foundation in psychotherapy at CCPE.

What might a typical mentoring session look like?

Together we investigate where both any issues and skills as a speaker might be; then we work with breathing, connection and voice to encourage and strengthen natural ability to communicate well with groups large and small. I offer ongoing support in helping people to find their natural communicating skills.

"Serena helped me to face my fear and to speak from my heart. She taught me how to breathe and to be aware of my body. She creates a safe space in which people discover that they can take risks. I believe she could work with anyone."
