In which specialist areas can you offer expertise?

My specialist area is improving the impact, value and quality of individuals communicating in the work place. Presenting, contributing in meetings, increasing personal effectiveness, improving confidence and providing tools for ongoing development are the key components of my coaching and mentoring skills.

How have you acquired this expertise?

I originally trained as an actor and worked both as a performer and director in the theatre. This gave me a grounding in how to coach people how to communicate in the most memorable and productive way. I took these skills into the business arena and adapted them to people who are not comfortable in the spotlight. I use insights from psychological models to help remove assumptions that people hold about themselves and their audiences. I use MBTI, the Thinking Environment and Transactional Analysis to unlock innate potential and am currently studying for an MA in Core Process Psychotherapy.

What might a typical mentoring session look like?

Working directly with a clients' perceived needs, I would look to removing key negative assumptions that they hold about themselves. I would work with posture, voice and breathing. There would be an exploration of design and the elements of communication while always accenting improving clients confidence using empirical evidence and common sense logic.
