How did you first get into coaching?

Coaching was a sideways step from working as an actor and director. In that profession I was constantly looking how to improve performances and getting people to work together for better results. These skills proved transferable into the business world where I now practise them, the arenas are different but the goals remain the same.

How would you describe your coaching approach?

I believe in finding the underlying reason why someone isn't functioning optimally and then look at ways to develop a self sustaining set of tools to help them in all areas of their working lives. This includes looking at the mind and the body and how they can work better.

What are your areas of specialism?

I specialise in helping people to communicate more effectively in meetings, presentations and one-to-ones. Five minutes in front of a client can be more valuable than ten months behind a desk. I can coach people to perform memorably, confidently and succinctly. On our Speaking with Authenticity workshop, I can offer this coaching in group settings.

What do you enjoy about coaching?

My goal as a coach is to help people unearth skills they didn't even know they had and to harness them to create a more dynamic, successful and happier person in the work place. Giving people evidence based, simple, practical reasons to improve their presence and visibility is the exciting part of my work.

What kinds of people in what roles have you coached before?

In the NHS I have coached board members and senior consultants in ‘selling' culture change. I have coached sales teams and senior managers in the IT industry to help them clarify and deliver simple messages in a complex field.
