How did you first get into coaching?

I was facilitating for an experiential training company and noticed "lights went on" in clients' heads during training but did not stay on after they returned to their job. I saw coaching as an opportunity to help clients maintain consistent awareness and actions towards their goals over time.

How would you describe your coaching approach?

My model for coaching identifies with clarity: 1) the client's current situation, 2) the client's desired state, 3) specific actions to close the gap, and 4) obstacles that may block the process. I also create safety, listen intently, ask powerful questions, speak the truth and stretch my clients.

What are your areas of specialism?

I coach business leaders or fast track employees who are moving into higher levels of management and wish to improve their leadership effectiveness. My clients desire to make positive changes in their skills and behaviors and challenge themselves to do so.

What do you enjoy about coaching?

I most enjoy watching the "light bulb" go on in my client's mind with the realization that they can enact a change within themselves, and that this change will have great positive consequences. I also have a personal guiding principle to enhance other's potential.

What kinds of people in what roles have you coached before?

Most of my coaching has been for mid to upper level managers, directors and executives who are moving to the next level of leadership or are plagued with mediocre performance in one specific area. I have coached across various industries with people of varying professions.
