How did you first get into coaching?
I first got into coaching 14 years ago whilst running a series of leadership workshops. Coaching was an essential part of the follow up and I discovered I had a natural affinity with coaching as a unique means to help achieve great business and personal successes.
How would you describe your coaching approach?
I firmly believe that all individuals have huge reserves of untapped potential which can be drawn out through subtle, intelligent questioning and focussed listening. I believe in the power of determining effective and inspiring goals and seek to support and challenge individuals to achieve them.
What are your areas of specialism?
I specialise in leadership development, career coaching and transition, change management and helping leaders develop highly effective teams.
What do you enjoy about coaching?
I enjoy the discovery of new insights, new sources of motivation, helping people clear away the dross to be able to focus on what's most important.
I like helping people rediscover the enjoyment in their work.
What kinds of people in what roles have you coached before?
I've coached people at all levels in a wide variety of organisations, from board level (trading, commercial, finance, sales and marketing and HR roles) in global plcs, partners in business services firms, through to store managers in supermarkets, engineers in oil companies, jointers in electricity boards and border control officials in the home office, amongst others.
‘Jeremy is a very personable, likeable and knowledgeable professional. He spends a good deal of time listening, almost getting you to unload your entire thinking, before offering his view. His approach is to lead you to an (your) answer rather than offer a direct prescription.'
