Dee Ramsayer
Based in North West, UK and working throughout the UK and Europe, Dee is an empathetic Leadership and Personal Development coach with over 20 years' experience.....
How did you first get into coaching?
One of my clients, a senior manager for whom I was facilitating a Strategy workshop, asked me to coach one of her team. I then realised that since becoming an Officer in the Royal Navy, I had been coaching people. I then became committed to developing my coaching approach and skills.
How would you describe your coaching approach?
I am passionate in sharing Red 10's belief in people's capacity for achieving their full potential once they realise just how good they already are. Matched to each client, my general approach involves questioning to create awareness. Then offering practical methods and processes to build on current skills, behaviours and abilities.
What are your areas of specialism?
With experience in all three sectors as both manager and consultant, developing the leadership potential of young officers through business process-based performance improvement to global organisation change, I have acquired a unique range of practical people-development skills. Alongside these, I have been accredited in a variety of therapeutic approaches.
What do you enjoy about coaching?
It's the ‘Aha!' moments I enjoy most. When someone's face lights up as they suddenly realise just how good they are, that they have choice, or they realise how empowering it is to take responsibility for their life. I'm also continually delighted by how much I learn from everyone I coach!
What kinds of people in what roles have you coached before?
I have coached people at all levels in organisations from the shop floor to Senior Directors. People leading a major change, others looking to start a new career - roles may appear similar, yet an individual's challenges and desired coaching outcomes vary greatly.
"Dee is the most supportive and positive coach I have worked with, combining her knowledge of business and personal ways of working with an unusual skill in listening. My four coaching sessions were the most positive step forward; the most thought-provoking and action-oriented learning I have taken in my working life. They also represent a wonderful realisation and time of positive change in my life, both personally and professionally. I cannot recommend Dee highly enough."
