Alan Frost
Alan is based in London and in Cambridgeshire, UK, and has worked in USA, South America, Australia, China, South East Asia.............
How did you first get into coaching?
I worked for 30 years in corporate positions, ran a manufacturing company, and held senior financial and strategic roles formulating and implementing corporate strategies.
In these roles, I mastered the use of coaching methods in managing and developing people, and ran a unique and very successful in-house management development programme for highly qualified, fast-track people. This led me to full-time coaching.
How would you describe your coaching approach?
I create a non-judgmental environment of safety and trust for my clients in which they can focus their thoughts towards reaching their own solutions and action plans.
I blend cutting-edge and proven techniques with age-old philosophies and with this fusion I support people in their resolution of their issues.
What are your areas of specialism?
I work mainly with senior executives to ensure they are able to think with high quality and resolve issues about company cultures, corporate structures, managing transition brought about by change, developing high trust environments and leading people to become enthusiastic, proactive and creative - in short, exceptional and progressive individuals.
What do you enjoy about coaching?
I enjoy being able to provide the sort of environment in which people are able to develop their thoughts and realise their potential. I enjoy being able to support people in their search for what they want out of a given situation and in what ways they are going to reach those outcomes.
What kinds of people in what roles have you coached before?
Male and female CEO's, MD's and senior executives (marketing, finance, production, strategy, HR, PR, design and sales), in publicly quoted and private companies, the NHS, law firms and start-up & entrepreneurial ventures. People who have been or are about to be made redundant, school leavers and business school graduates.
"I went on an Executive Retreat looking for a fresh approach to my business and the thinking that went on in it. The experience opened my mind to many opportunities and changes that I wanted to make in my management. But most of those ideas and the energy surrounding them would not have seen the light of day unless I had followed up with Alan Frost afterwards. Coaching sessions with Alan gave me the time and space to turn these thoughts and ideas into very practical actions which have delivered. We have been growing our company at 40% a year and much of that growth and development is as a result of the very positive environment that the coaching sessions with Alan helped to create."
